Every now and then, I run into folks who desire to do x, y, z to their cars in Forza Horizon 4. They want the option to customize cars to their personal taste. More options for spoilers, changing the color of the interior, decals on windows, colored headlights and different exhaust tips are some of the many things they desire to do to distinguish their cars from the rest of the crowd.
I'm on the same boat. I’d love the ability to customize my cars to my hearts desire. The image above is a picture I found where someone wanted to have the ability to personalize their McLaren Senna. If the options in the image were available in Forza Horizon 4, I would spec my Senna to be silver paint with silver wheels. I’d change the calipers to black and keep the interior black. My Senna would be simple. Now, a different individual can come in and have their Senna in pink camo with white wheels and yellow calipers. They might include pink headlights, purple underglow and a bunch of decals across their window. A pink camo McLaren Senna with underglow is something I wouldn’t do but what makes it fun is the opportunity for someone to do that. If someone wanted to, they could have a pink camo Senna with underglow and pink headlights.
That’s the beauty of having a huge variety of options to customize your car. You have a chance to be unique with your car. You can have a very classy car or an outlandish car. No matter what, you get to choose the appearance of your vehicle. And because of that, people will have more fun driving around in their uniquely customized car.
One thing I do want to mention is the lack of customization for spoilers in Forza Horizon 4. Other users, including myself, are tired of using the basic Forza spoiler and front splitter for downforce. It lacks creativity. It looks very bland and oftentimes ruins how a car looks. You may have a great looking car but if you want to apply more downforce, you have to use the dull looking spoiler and front splitter.
A perfect example is the McLaren Senna. The spoiler on the McLaren Senna is an engineering masterpiece for downforce. The spoiler is hugely responsible for how amazing the Senna performs on track. In order to maximize how much downforce you get in Forza Horizon 4, you must install the Forza spoiler in the McLaren Senna. Because of that, it ruins the look of the Senna. The same can be said about the front splitter on the Senna. This issue not only applies to the McLaren Senna but also the Porsche 991.2 GT3RS and a variety of different cars in Forza Horizon 4. Users are forced to use the Forza spoiler and Forza splitter in order to gain the most downforce.
I suggest a change. There has to be a variety of spoilers & front splitters. Along with that, we should have the ability to customize downforce and call it “aero tuning”. The McLaren Senna shouldn’t need a different spoiler to gain more downforce. Forza Horizon 4 should have an option where you can customize how much downforce you get on the McLaren Senna with the factory spoiler. The spoiler on the Senna is already marvelous and doesn’t need to be replaced.
I, like many other fans, wish there were more customizations available in Forza Horizon 4. I hope this wish comes true.
